OBDUCAT, leading manufacturer of lithography solutions based on nanoimprint lithography (NIL), has signed a contract concerning supply of an EITRE® 6 NIL system to City University of Hong Kong. The order value is 3 million HK$.

The EITRE system will be used in Professor Stella Pang’s research work at the Department of Electronic Engineering at City University of Hong Kong.

Professor Pang, who previously worked as Professor at University of Michigan in the US, is a user of Obducat’s NIL technology since 2003. The EITRE system will be used for research work within the area of 3D scaffolds and tissue engineering. NIL is the only nanopatterning technology that allows repeated and fully controlled 3-D surfaces to be produced at the nanoscale. These 3D nanodevices will be integrated as bio systems with multiple sensors and stimulators for medical monitoring, diagnostics, treatment and prostheses.

– We are very proud that the renowned City University of Hong Kong has chosen Obducat as supplier. This installation, which is our first in Hong Kong, is of key importance since Hong Kong is emerging as a very important R&D hub in Asia, says Patrik Lundström, CEO, Obducat.
